CE Certification: It’s More Than Just a Sticker on Your UV System

The messy side of electricity (EMC and Safety)
Here’s the thing: UV lamps need high-voltage starters and ballasts to work. If your shielding is sloppy or you picked the wrong capacitors, you’re going to create electromagnetic interference. In plain English? Your lamp could start messing with other gear on the shop floor. That’s why we push for the CE mark. It proves we’ve tested for EMC, making sure the lamp doesn’t send “noise” screaming back into your power grid. Then there’s the heat. UV-C lamps get hot—really hot—and they use high-voltage arcs.
